At the studio its been all hands on deck, painting for Alex's installation at Lovebox festival. Me and Saskia have been busy little bees painting the mannequins while Alex has been in a studio in Hackney Wick painting the boards which will be the main feature of the installation.
Alex drew up each of the four mannequins, with different designs, and added the colour ways so all me and Saskia had to do was paint them up. I never knew quite how long it would take to actually paint the bad boys, as it was really time consuming keeping the lines straight, especially with a hangover!
I got quite attached to my mannequin and named him Matthew, he was like my new baby which I was mothering until he flew the nest and worked his stuff at Lovebox!
So after a full week of painting the bad boys, we were summoned to Hackney Wick to join him in the studio there to help him paint the main boards of the installation. This was really exciting as id get to see the first glimpse of the installation and OMG it was going to be totally major! To say colour scares me, this blew me away. It was going to be a masterpiece!

After all this painting I can confidently say I'm not that bad at doing it! I feel like a fine artist, although I won't hang up my studded fashion boots any time soon!!
