Inspiration for Spring/ Summer 2013

While the installation for the "States" exhibition was going on, I had been given the task by Mr Noble to start the research for his up and coming Spring/ Summer 2013 collection "Hermesaphrodite". I can't go into detail about the concept because its under lock and key, but I guess the name of the collection gives a lot away. I found doing this research extremely beneficial, as it gave me different ideas on how to tackle a concept and stamp it with my own creative twist. I also found a lot of inspirational images which I could use in my own future projects. It also gave me the change to get inside Alex's head and visually see his own take on a concept and lets just say this man is a genius. I could sit and listen to his ideas all day, I have certainly made the right decision in turning the opportunity at Gareth Pugh down, not only that there is only me, Saskia and Alex at the studio, so we have a lot of time to get to know each other and bond as a time. That is something I love about interning at Alex Noble Studios is the fact Im not made to feel like a regular intern, I feel like I'm part of the team as Alex involves me with everything he does, and I'm meeting new creative influential people all of the time which is totally amazing. Im not lost in a sea of sewing, pattern cutting and interns like I can imagine I would be at Gareth Pugh. Its also strengthened my idea of what I want to do in the future creatively. I want to show every other season and do commissioned  pieces be it for an exhibition or a performance. I don't and won't do ready to wear!!
Anyway lets go back to the inspiration images I found for Alex. Here is a few of my very favourite images.....
